Brigid Prial is a doctoral candidate in the History and Sociology of Science Department at the University of Pennsylvania. She is working on her dissertation project, examining the history and politics of US lab scientists’ access to chimpanzees as research subjects in the twentieth century. In 2022–23, she held a Beinecke Library Research Fellowship at the Yale Libraries for archival work related to her dissertation and a research fellowship through the Linda Hall Library. She has been an editor at the History of Anthropology Review since 2020.
