The Department III "Body of Animals" research theme has featured in a Clarín magazine article—written by project member Irina Podgorny—on how the study of animal waste, such as parchments, can reveal dark areas of human history. The "Body of Animals," led by Dagmar Schäfer, Tamar Novick, and Lisa Onaga, explores the multiplicity of ways and contexts in which historical actors have used and studied animals and the essence of animality.
