The March: A Prayer from Mining Mountains

Berlin-based scholar and artist Jorge Vega presents The March, a video poem and semi-fictional ethnographic work-in-progress derived from his doctoral research on anti-extractivist struggles against mining in Mexico. Through video and sound experimentation, the piece captures the emotional landscape of the struggle to protect the earth, water, and air in the Mexican mountains, reflecting the pain, efforts, joy, and profound connection to the land, its mountains, and inhabitants.
